Honoring saints has been a part of Christianity almost from the beginning. Christians were already honoring saints by the year 100 A.D. Jewish tradition show Hebrews honoring prophets and holy men with shrines. We look upon saints as role models, people who have given up their lives for their faith. We can take their lives as examples for our own...living the kind of life God wants us to live.
